BVRLA

As a business car leasing and fleet management company, Agility UK (parent company of Windmill Leasing), are proud to be a corporate member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA). The BVRLA was formed in 1967 to regulate and audit the development of the vehicle rental, leasing and fleet management sectors.

Agility UK is bound by the BVRLA code of practice which stipulates that members must promote all their prices transparently and make certain that their terms and conditions are presented clearly and without contradiction. The BVRLA also offers a complaints and reconciliation service to members and customers if required. The full BVRLA charter is available on their website.

In 2010, Agility UK was delighted to win the BVRLA Industry Hero award. As part of our requirement as an accredited member of the BVRLA, Windmill Leasing ensures that all our lease vehicles are safe and supplied in road-worthy condition. Should a maintenance contract be included, the vehicles will also be maintained according to manufacturer servicing requirements. We also operate a complaints procedure in line with BVRLA’s core standards.

Unsung Hero Award

Windmill Leasing is proud to announce that we recently received the Unsung Hero Award for contract hire and leasing from the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA). The prestigious award was presented to Jacki Stevenson, a valued member of the team since 2005, for her remarkable efforts in fleet management and contract leasing.

The award was designed and created by the BVRLA to offer recognition to workers who may not always get the praise they deserve for their hard work and dedication. Jacki received the award for her outstanding contribution to the organisation, specifically during 2009.

Winners were selected by the BVRLA Chairman’s Committee and were invited to attend the BVRLA Big Event Annual Dinner, which took place on the 3 March 2010. The event was held in the Hilton’s Grand Ballroom where the Chief Executive of the company was there to announce the awards himself.

Jacki was nominated for the award by Agility Fleet’s Managing Director Keith Townsend who had nothing but praise to sing about the hard working sales representative. She was put forward for her tireless efforts to manage the sale of all end-of-contract vehicles at a time when the economy was at its worst. Through diligent research and her excellent interpersonal skills Jacki micro managed each individual vehicle and established many relationships with traders all over the UK. Thanks to this work, she has allowed Windmill Leasing to continue maximising its return and increasing cash flow.

Windmill Leasing are very proud to have such a hard working employee in their midst and delighted for Jacki to have gained the recognition she so deserves from the BVRLA Unsung Hero Award.
